Notes of the Patient Group Forum held on 22 June 2022

Items discussed:
Upcoming CQC Visit
The group were informed that CQC are re-inspecting the Practice. Currently they are reviewing evidence we have submitted and will visit the surgery next Tuesday (28 June). We will have received some feedback from CQC by the date of the next meeting., which we will share with the group.
GPCPCS (GP Community Pharmacy Consultation Service)
This is a new service which has been launched by Doncaster CCG in which GP practices refer patients to the Pharmacy for minor ailments which they can treat, rather than the patient attending the practice. It is still in its early stages and there are some teething problems which Practices are experiencing. Feedback has been sent to DCCG. An update will be given at the next meeting.
Over the Counter Medicines
The Medicines Management Team at Doncaster CCG are working closely with Practices to help reduce prescribing of medicines which can be bought over the counter at a Pharmacy, e,g head lice shampoo, Vitamin D tablets. This is to try and save money on items that do not need a prescription and to educate patients on self care.

LW asked the members if they had anything else they would like to discuss. Nothing else was raised. LW thanked everyone for attending.
